This summer, #Kdenlive is all about the ASS. Yup you heard it right, .ass subtitle support is coming along with some nifty other features like multiple subtitle tracks. Stay tuned for more. in c/[email protected]

@kdenlive @kde oh god why would you do that to yourself. ASS is a format that needs to die, not become even more popular.

It's also silly to support the unspecified proprietary ASS format before supporting the actual industry standard for subtitles TTML/ISMC.
