Okay but now you have to tell us how it works!

Yeah I was surprised to see how fast I read the entirety of the greentext community here… but that’s a good thing, makes me realize it’s an addiction and forces me to stop

I use Uptime Kuma as mentioned in another comment, but also Speedtest Tracker which makes automated speed tests at the interval of your choice and displays them in a coherent dashboard. It’s pretty neat and it did help me figure out a few things about my network.

And there’s our smudgeness.

Yeah, the password is the one thing I was worried about. I already have a VPN set up so I might just go with that for external access.
Since I already have a reverse proxy I might go with option 1, seems like the easiest to set up! If it doesn’t work that well I’ll go with option 3! Thanks a lot!

I’ve been thinking about setting it up on my server to access it with several devices too, since I’m using their default client for now. Do they have a Docker image that’s easy to set up? I wish I could access it from anywhere by exposing it on my domain name, but I’m pretty sure that’d not be the best security wise…

A Silent Voice, really beautiful movie about bullying and redemption. I watched it a few years ago when I was in a really bad place, and it helped me a lot.

Signed up to Lemmy today, but held off to see if the Reddit situation was going to get any better. Seems like it won't, so one big hearty fuck you to them.
I'll try and contribute as much as I can to this community.
