For me the lack of voice acting isn't a detriment. Far from it. I much prefer the walls of text to cinematic stuffs.

Always be looking for a new job, you never know when a new boss arrives and makes it horrible.

Pottery class. You are a dirty mess, every one is a dirty mess and y'all have something in common. Plus it is an artistic expression and as long as you are willing to talk about artistic struggles being "bad" isn't detriment at all. And worst comes to show you now have a new coffee cup.

Replace Pottery with whatever is offered locally.

Home (subscribed) and Local set to Hot

All set to Top Six Hours. When doomscrolling I on occasion set it to either Scaled or Active

Another local castle.

Built in 1635-38 as a renaissance castle in Kristian IV-style by Malte Juul, expanded and modernized in the 1780's by "Bygge-Hans" (Hans the builder, Hans Ramel). Bygge-Hans also had Höge Väg (High Road) built, a 1.3km long even road through the undulating landscape. Höge Väg took 50 years to build and every day the laborers on the estate had to carry one stone for the road. This led to them having said Vore inte herreman galen, så hade ej fattigman bröd, If the master weren't mad, the poor man wouldn't have bread (my translation).

The park is open for visits April to October but the castle itself is private property, currently owned by the Palmsteirna family.

Last camp of the year is always special. I may have had my last last weekend but if the weather hold I can probably squeeze in another. Where I am (southern Sweden) night temperatures are still well above 5C so for me very much camping weather.

A manor house in Scania (southern Sweden), mostly famous for being the Castle featured in the Christmas calendar production "Mysteriet på Greveholm" (The mystery at Greveholm).

Have yet to play it but Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous does have some similar themes. If you haven't looked at it already give it a glance.

Walks around town

Bike ride

Gym

Walk along the stream looking at the mallards

Trail running (as soon as I get started with it...)

Park/square bench, filled thermos and something to read

Hi y'all. So I'm closing in on a full year at the gym. For the second time in my life I'm doing it, last time was 15-20 years ago. I'm down, I'm up and I've got the best/most fun body I've had in at least 15 years.

So naturally with a bit of retro- and instrospection I think of what is working for me. I go on loooots of classes, having someone tell me what to do and get energy from others around me is super-duper awesome. From spinning to strength-cardio and dance (I did not see my fondness for that a year ago). Working classes into my schedule often takes me to the gym 30-35 minutes early and I've been using that time doing "random" strength stuff.

But perhaps time for me to get some organization going for my self-guided pre- and/or post class workouts. And since I like moving my "new" body around I think of supersetting big(?) strength exercises with mobility work. For example squats with dead hang (or eccentric pull ups to dead hang).

So let me have your favorite mobility inserts into super sets!

Strength exercises I especially enjoy

  • Squats (including sumo)
  • Romanian deadlifts (including single leg variant)
  • Overhead press
  • Rows (barbell, alternating gorilla)
  • Kettlebell ABCs (one KB, two KB) (I know not 100% a strength exercise)

Side note: Reading the list above makes me realize I need to find some arm and chest exercise variants to enjoy

And someone will have to go on an Orphic journey to bring back his lost lover.

Socks in sandals is an almost keelhaulable offense.

TUBORG TUIBORG TUBORG!

FOR KARL!

A fun band. Lots of skin, lots of sexy bodies. And then there is "the Voice of the Gods" whose magnificence overshadows all. On the vocal side the band is well wrought and the three vocalists plays off eachother almost like a classic boy band from the late 90's.

While I do love Eluveite I cannot listen to them for longer periods of time. Just so full of everything and then some. It gets discordant tiring. Still good in a mix.

Let's stretch my theme for the evening. Just a duo between the chaotic maniacs of Alestorm and Patty Gurdy. Well produced and everything fits well together. Very good drinking music.

Ahhhh Alissa White-Gluz, in my opinion the queen of the harsh melodic death metal. Growls but the higher pitches does come through. Can listen to Arch Enemy for long periods without getting fatigued, that does say something.

Let's take the vocals a bit harsher. Still clear by metal standards but I find Noora Louhimo's vocal more in line with the rest. Much less of a contrast compared to (for example) Nightwish.
