Anyone booked a permaculture consult? Any recs? We want to go ham on the yard, but I'd like a second opinion.

It might be worth contacting Ceres, they probably have some info

hmm, it's really not their deal though- they do education and base level stuff, but I've already got a degree in horticulture, and I know about complex systems, but I'm literally the only person in my social group with that knowledge. Hence looking for a consult - someone else on my level to come out and bang heads. (I freely admit my self confidence got absolutely broomhandled over this past year)

Ah, I didn’t realise you have a horticulture background! That sounds very interesting. My knowledge extends to ‘putting carpet down kills weeds’, so I’m no help. Good luck with your search!

weirdly, yes! My first career was horticulture. Then I took apart and repaired a busted CADD, went "that was fun" enrolled in IT on a whim at TAFE and whoopsie

Isn't permaculture a lot of woo?

[–] Taleya 4 points 1 year ago

woo as in BS? uh no? It's basically making a self-sustaining ecosystem. You know, like the planet has been doing for billions of years.
