My zucchini plant is reaching to the sky in worship of the rain, having curled all its leaves into funnels to catch as much as possible.

plants are amazing and not just the passive beings we sometimes take them for

They are definitely quite active, and zucchini are particularly expressive. My gardening course had some great time lapse video showing how bean plants move around looking for support to climb on. The slower plant that could not find a free support pretty much got depressed and gave up.
