Just waiting on my other reference to contact the recruiter.
He's a good guy but can be a bit forgetful.
Come on buddy, just call her.

Coffee blend ordered today while on special from a cafe in Hurstbridge.
Heard due to their special there might be delays but I hope my order is ready for pickup before Sunday so my friend can pick it up for me.
What did I order? A coffee blend of Guava, apricot, pineapple and mango.
I canβt wait to try it but nervous it wonβt be ready for me in time.
Today's been a productive day. I sorted out the meeting with my current school to unenrol, that's happening next Thursday. I sorted out the situation with my new TAFE school, and although it's not officially processed and I'm not enrolled yet, she said there shouldn't be any issues. The program manager ordered one of the replacement phones, and said she'll organise the replacement MacBook before the end of the day (though she seems busy so I'm not holding my breath). I called the police man back (I only had 5 minutes before a GP appointment when he rang so I said I'd call back). He wanted me to send him an email with photos of all the damage as well as an itemised list of everything that's damaged or stolen.
I thought it may be an issue that I've been finding more things missing every day since the police report, so the police report doesn't have a complete list, but he said it's no problem and that tends to happen to most people. So I sent him that email. And then I went and made a psychologist appointment I've been putting off for a while.
Also the DT is at 178 comments and it's only 3pm. Guess I'm not the only one having a productive day!
Edit: unfortunately it seems the psych I chose is retiring at the end of the year, so she called to let me know she cancelled my appointment. She was the only person I found on the find a psych thingy that specialised in my problems and looked friendly :/
My underdesk treadmill arrived today. Not easy to type on the keybord while using it but happy to be getting some exercise
Feeling better after getting out of bed and making myself some tacos with the last five tortillas and bits and pieces. Still have leftover pickled onions (orange and vinegar), from two weeks ago and I'm sold on having a jar of these going on at all times - just a little transforms any taco or sandwich
in brighter news, Iv'e fallen down the rabbit hole of recipes and now I got the fever
I'm having a third coffee. Who's with me?
(today is the day I beat this half cold off, or go down fighting!)
I've had two. Colleagues invited mule for a third, I went but I had a hit chocolate instead because three would be quite possibly lethal to me at my current tolerance
Gratitude thread!
I'm grateful for the good cardio session I had last night. Wasn't super exhausted after and was kind of buzzing, but still helped the anxiety die down.
Grateful I got my tax return today, I can put some into savings and the rest for some necessities I've neglected.
Moved to new apartment. Landlord proactively warned us that the oven, stove, the bathroom heater and hot water are on one circuit and to avoid using them all together.
Breaker for this outside of our internal switchboard and is only accessible by OC (not the landlord nor agent). From the message, feels like the landlord might have copped 3 days without power.
Friend just told it's unacceptable/below standard. Going to email agent to get this fixed, any good references I can use during this argument?
(on another note, we wouldn't have rented this place if we knew the parking space is going to be dark, dusty, musty, and hard to drive in/out. Am lucky we are driving a small car, because I'm fairly certain anything a Corolla Cross or larger won't fit at all)
Sounds like itβs not compliant and as a landlord, I have to get electrical inspections done and issues fixed as a requirement. Just re-did the switchboard on my investment property recently and it cost $2k. You can ask the agent for compliance/reporting info on electrical and switchboard.

Seems that the circuit breaker is too small for the load, which I believe is against regs. I would check with an electrician that might point you to the right standards.
It does not seem right at all!
Managed through a property manager and a formal rental agreement? Hmm. I'd play this a bit clever. Intentionally trip it on days when you know the OC can get you back up and running. Over a week or 2 build up a report, when it tripped and how long it took to get resolved, then report to the property manager that it isnt safe/feasible to wait X ammount of time to get your power back.
That way if you gotta breach 'em and go before VCAT it helps you already have logs and experience with the issue.
Keep in mind, this is gonna sour the relationship with the landlord though. Be prepared to move in 12 months, but it doesnt sound like that'd be a huge loss anyway.
