As a day one buyer, I'm happy about this. Exclusives for people who buy early or pay a premium are silly. I just happened to be fortunate and lucky enough to get my Deck earlier, but the more the merrier.
Steam Deck
A place to discuss and support all things Steam Deck.
Replacement for r/steamdeck_linux.

Some more Steam Deck specific flairs:

These are not enforced, but they are encouraged.

- This is a place of civil discussion, no trolling.
- Have fun.
Makes sense. I bought one secondhand and still got the digital goodies.
If you buy it secondhand from anywhere but valve, it just depends if the previous owner claimed the digital goodies or not .
I bought mine refurbished from Valve but the rewards were already redeemed. Guess I need to contact support
I just wish the refurbs weren’t sold out!
Might call around to your local GameStop's and see if they have any in stock. I think they dropped the requirement to be a GameStop pro member(or whatever it's called) to buy one there.
I just wish it was even an option in my country. If I’m a little ahead on bills this month, I think I’ll pick up the base model.
I’ll just add a ssd for canabalize my 2016 MacBook Pro for the ssd. Im pretty sure it’s compatible.
Until then, I’ll use my 512microsd card.
Even if your MacBook Pro has a removable SSD, it's probably too long for a Steam Deck. You need it to be in the 2230 form factor
The 2016 MacBook Pro does not use the standard size ssd. I’ll double check, but Im pretty sure it’s the correct size.
Nice! Always happy to be wrong about bad news
If you enjoy it, that’s fine, but the only thing more stupid to me than caring about digital exclusive perks would be being upset that other people get them.
