So, I noticed that a couple of my image uploads made using Voyager now just show a “?” graphic. Looking around this community, I’m seeing a lot of other people’s posts are like that too.

In other apps and via browser, the images are also missing. Is anyone else experiencing this/do we know what’s happening?

Looks more like a lemmy.world issue.

Someone was uploading CSAM (aka CP) to !lemmyshitposts and most instances purged all image links around that time so as to quickly prevent it from being federated to other instances (and so they aren’t risking breaking the law by hosting it on their servers)

Holy shit. Yeah, just saw the sticky about it. Didn’t realize the two were connected, but that makes perfect sense. Thanks for the info
