Rules (interactive)

Rule 1- All posts must be legitimate questions. All post titles must include a question.

All posts must be legitimate questions, and all post titles must include a question. Questions that are joke or trolling questions, memes, song lyrics as title, etc. are not allowed here. See Rule 6 for all exceptions.

Rule 2- Your question subject cannot be illegal or NSFW material.

Your question subject cannot be illegal or NSFW material. You will be warned first, banned second.

Rule 3- Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here.

Do not seek mental, medical and professional help here. Breaking this rule will not get you or your post removed, but it will put you at risk, and possibly in danger.

Rule 4- No self promotion or upvote-farming of any kind.

That's it.

Rule 5- No baiting or sealioning or promoting an agenda.

Questions which, instead of being of an innocuous nature, are specifically intended (based on reports and in the opinion of our crack moderation team) to bait users into ideological wars on charged political topics will be removed and the authors warned - or banned - depending on severity.

Rule 6- Regarding META posts and joke questions.

Provided it is about the community itself, you may post non-question posts using the [META] tag on your post title.

On fridays, you are allowed to post meme and troll questions, on the condition that it's in text format only, and conforms with our other rules. These posts MUST include the [NSQ Friday] tag in their title.

If you post a serious question on friday and are looking only for legitimate answers, then please include the [Serious] tag on your post. Irrelevant replies will then be removed by moderators.

Rule 7- You can't intentionally annoy, mock, or harass other members.

If you intentionally annoy, mock, harass, or discriminate against any individual member, you will be removed.

Likewise, if you are a member, sympathiser or a resemblant of a movement that is known to largely hate, mock, discriminate against, and/or want to take lives of a group of people, and you were provably vocal about your hate, then you will be banned on sight.

Rule 8- All comments should try to stay relevant to their parent content.

Rule 9- Reposts from other platforms are not allowed.

Let everyone have their own content.

Rule 10- Majority of bots aren't allowed to participate here.

He is currently spinning in his grave at 2000 revolutions per minute after learning how his face was monetized via t-shirt sales, making him the greatest revolutionary in history.

On a more serious note, Che was a marxist revolutionary active in middle america, and took part in (amongst other things) Fidel Castros coup. He has, for a few decades after his death, become a symbol for leftist uprising. But he has since become a symbol for smoking pot under a tree and thinking the world would be better if we could all just, like, be cool, and stuff, y'know.

Side note: I remember seeing an interview with the photographer who took the famous picture of Che. He didn't mind its spread, so anyone is free to use it however they want, including sell8ng t-shirt prints.

"2000 revolutions per minute" - Che's utopia

Che Guevara, he was an Argentine Marxist revolutionary and guerilla. Close friend of Fidel Castro and played an important role in the Cuban revolution.

This particular image of him is a famous photograph taken during a memorial service for the victims of a ship that exploded. It's become an iconic image presumably due to his somber expression, but is also associated with rebellion when used commercially, which is of course a weird irony.

He remains a controversial figure. National hero in Cuba, and regarded by those of a socialist and communist persuasion as an anti-imperialist, anti-capitalist hero and champion of the poor. Liberals and conservatives on the other hand view him as a brutal murderer.

He was a complex character that you'd need to read about in depth to form an opinion on.

He also volunteered at a leprosy colony when he was younger. The Motorcycle Diaries is a pretty good movie about that period of his life.

That's Ernesto. He was president of the National Bank of Cuba for a few years.

I love the fact that you are being downvoted by idiots when you are 100% correct. People forget that he held political offices on Cuba for way longer than he was a guerrilla fighter, and he failed hard when he tried to do guerrilla warfare on his own, both in Congo and Bolivia. He was just a dude, a son of Argentinian oligarchs who got a good ol' white savior complex, then got himself killed because he thought that everyone but him were stupid.

I appreciate your comment, and that you share the sentiment of seeing past the obvious legend, but I accept that people can find my answer unhelpful. :)

Like others said, Che Guevara.

From what I've seen, he's worn largely by edgelords who think they are rebellious but mostly just sit around and smoke pot.

Now we're going to play a real fun game. It's called, "Who is your daddy, and what does he do?"

I don't know much about him, honestly, but I think it's Che Guevara. Wikipedia can tell you more than me.
