I really appreciate the positivity in this community, and it hurts my heart to even see posts of injuries. However, I also believe it is important to be aware of things that hurt, especially if there is something to be done about it. I'm not sure which way is right for this community, but I trust you will make a thoughtful choice. Thank you for all you do!

That was amazing!! I would not have bothered without your comment.

I was interested in Romani religion too... Check it out.

Most Romani are Christian,[277] but many are Muslims; some retained their ancient faith of Hinduism from their original homeland of India, while others have their own religion and political organization.[278] In parts of Southeast Europe, particularly in Bulgaria, some Roma who are Muslim identify as ethnic Turks, and over generations have adopted the Turkish language.[279] Theravada Buddhism influenced by the Dalit Buddhist movement have become popular in recent times among Hungarian Roma.[71][72] Some Roma practice witchcraft and palmistry.[280]

Elsewhere it states this is because the Romani often chose to convert to the major religion of the area, as many other peoples did.

These are spaced about every 300 meters next to the trail in Memorial Park in Houston, TX, but they aren't only along the trail. They are throughout the park. Does anyone have an idea what they might be? Thanks!

I've spent most of my free time in the last day attempting to track down more information about the stained glass I shared yesterday. There isn't very much out there other than sites trying to sell reproductions in all sorts of forms, but it seems that the work is a collaboration between Mucha and the Mauméjean brothers, who were a family of stained glass makers in Spain. The stained glass seems to be referred to as "The Spring and the Plum," while Mucha's work it is based upon is called "Primrose and Feather."

So glad so many enjoyed my previous post, and I hope you enjoy this one too!

Edited to a better link.

I mean, Fred Kelly was going to be a character named Bunny.

Edit: Sorry if this is the wrong community for this question! Unsure what group might be in the know.

Hello lovely Aussies! I am visiting your beautiful land for a month this summer. I apologize and please delete if this post is against the rules, but maybe you can point me in the right direction. I will be staying with family who have been there since last summer, but I'd love to hear tips about how best to enjoy your city and it's surroundings while I'm there!
