The two D's are for a "double-dose of pimpin".

In polite society it is a controversial statement to call another sovereign country a US state. If you if you don’t understand why then maybe you should look inward toward your biases, or maybe understand what it actually means to be a US state. Nice hot take though.

If you’re in the US and plan to get a LoRa device for use with Meshtastic then get the 915 band for your first device. That is what’s intended for us unlicensed users, and that’s where you have a better shot joining a mesh.

As far as the T-Deck Plus. I received mine about 3 weeks ago as my first dip into Meshtastic. The stock Meshtastic firmware interface is… underutilizing the hardware interface. There is an unofficial firmware version with much more capability, but it’s very, very buggy. You’re basically going to be an early adopter. (If they’re still taking two months to ship, who knows by then) Since I don’t desire to tinker, or build my own firmware from the source examples from Lilygo, I am basically waiting for Meshtastic or another open source group to release a better experience for the T-Deck Plus.

For now I’m using my second device. A RAK Wizblock with no display and my cell phone. I bought an Atlavox M1 which is a very solid prebuilt. It’s basically the RAK LoRa starter kit, a battery, and a well designed, 3d printed PETG case. I’m very happy with that purchase.

You can’t even trust dealer maintenance shops. I was getting prepared for a long road trip last year and decided to get down low and inspect my rear brake pads and tire pressure. A fucking bolt on my rear hub fell out. I had just taken my bike to a Honda dealer for new tires the day before. I’m never going back there and if I take my bike to some shop for service I can’t do myself, I’m gonna damn sure double check the work.

Addendum: this was a two visit ordeal. First visit was for tires. They broke the tpms senor on the rear tire. Second visit was to get it replaced. I guess I should have taken that as an omen. Next time I’m going to bite the bullet and try to replace my own tires with spoons and a torque wrench.

But people in the original Lemmy thread told me it was the Klan! The op, “Buttflapper” reports: “They were filming and had fake county employee badges, immediately trespassed and removed”. Surely they didn’t jump to conclusions and were wrong!

My guy early voting down in GA.

… I’m pretty sure their pixel art was “heavily inspired” by Castlevania from the start. The last time I played it I noticed it started shifting away from that.

Aside from your choice to combat someone you perceive as wrong online in their own arena of sycophants. How many fucking Reddit account do you need? I’m pretty sure having more than one is against ToS. I could understand if you had a main account and an alt account for saying shit you feel ashamed of, but you literally make it out like you had dozens. That’s pretty damn weird.

5x 5 gallon jugs of water. A few weeks worth of canned goods. A stack of fire wood. Solar panels and a few batteries to charge small devices like radios. A couple of GMRS radios and a couple of HAM radios. Propane tanks and propane heaters.

Harry and Dudley bond over Monty Python?

iPhone 15 Pro Max. No skill whatsoever.

I was headed back home 1200 miles when at the first gas stop I let my bike fall over. I tried to park it away from the gas pumps to get off and stretch my legs. The spot I chose (poorly) was unleveled and the wind caught it and pushed it over. The tip over scratched the saddle bag and broke my brake lever. At my next stop I found an auto parts store for some steel stick epoxy to temporarily ‘weld’ the lever back together. I let it cure for a few 30 minutes before setting off angain, and then a few hours before using it properly, but that only lasted a few hundred miles. Everything is an easy fix, but damn I was utterly deflated the rest of the trip with my scratches of shame.
