How has nobody mentioned Rimworld? Such an incredible soundtrack!

Not technically gameplay or genre based, but god I fucking hate games made in Unreal Engine, because they often have a shit-ton of extra post-processing effects going on that you just cannot turn off. There's been a lot of games that I've had to set down forever because the combination of bad FOV and being unable to fix the motion blur/ambient occlusion/film grain(don't get me started) just makes them nauseating to look at for too long.

What are we doing, let's start reposting it now!

I mean, who is meant to generate the plan? I'm pretty sure it wasn't my responsibility, it likely wasn't your responsibility, in fact I'd be willing to be it wasn't the responsibility of any citizen working in a non-government position.

We have no plan because the Democratic party has no plan. We have put our trust and faith in a party of complete fucking fools, the kind of blind out-of-touch idiots who assumed Biden would crush Trump by default. Their only concern is fundraising and making sure their corporate masters are appeased.

If the Dems win, they still deserve to face retribution for this. Work with local unions in your area. Organize to elect leftists politicians to the House and Senate. Replacing Republicans is always the preference, but we shouldn't be afraid to replace Democrats as well.

Feels really disingenous to call out Halloween but not Christmas, which is already pushing Halloween merch out of stores.

If you ask a friend to help you bury a body and they agree, that person is definitely a good friend. They're a bad person for assisting you in murder, but you can be a good friend and a bad person.

honestly at this point, why even use real numbers? Just ask for a bazillion rubles, it's about as likely as 2 undecillion.

I know there were some rumors that the game might get re-launched free-to-play, but I feel like that was just going to cause Concord to flop twice. The game already had a free open beta that nobody played, relaunching now would just be throwing more good money after bad.

It's a shame to shut down the studio though, especially when none of it seems like their fault. They delivered the shitty overwatch clone corporate asked for, and now they're going to lose their jobs for fulfilling the brief. Meanwhile the dumbass execs who wanted Concord get to keep failing upwards.

We dismissed

No, the Democratic Party and enlightened centrists dismissed the threat. There were people like me rallying against this bullshit since George W Bush stole the 2000 election. Some of us were able to hear these crazies clearly and realized what they wanted. We were told to shut up and stop overreacting.

Being able to say "I told you so" isn't much of a salve when you're starting down the barrel of a totalitarian regime, but don't paint us all as rubes. People were sounding the alarm, they were ignored.

You continue living without having to entertain hateful bigots? It's worked out pretty great for me.

[–] [email protected] 21 points 6 days ago

You don't. Most of us have already either fully cut-off contact with Trump supporting family members or limit our interaction with them heavily. Our country is rotted to the core, and this election won't be the end of it. Even if Harris wins, there will be contestion of the results. There may even be a successful coup by the Republican party. A civil war is not out of the question.

There is no normal. There won't be ever again.

DE absolutely rules. In an era of constant enshittification, it's so nice to have a dev that is actively, constantly working to improve the player experience. From consistent bug fixes and engine optimizations, to little additions like reworks of old frames and new ways to interact with old content, to the massive story expansions like Whispers in the Walls and the upcoming 1999, it's just a great time to be a Warframe player.
