In a way. Chop chop is slang for loose leaf tobacco which hasn't been taxed, sold cheaply on the black market. It's either smuggled into the country or grown locally in secret.

Recently I got to experience the true power of a real allergy attack. I mowed a paddock of long grass that hadn't been touched in decades. Wearing a 95 mask and goggles but they were those workshop goggles with breather holes. Showered after but for the next 2 weeks it was the torments of the damned. Patches on my face, wrists, back of the neck, shins at top of my socks, anywhere straps or sleeves rubbed the dust into my skin, turned into suppurating landscapes of itch. Cetrizine slowly beat it back but I don't like to fiddle with my immune system. Next time I'll wear a Hazmat coverall like you do when stripping fibro off a building.

In my experience root crops take more effort and are hard to get to a size equivalent to store bought. It's probably my techniques but I am a lazy gardener. While silver beet grows better for me than commercial crop.

With tomatoes I find bigger varieties are tasty targets for birds and other pests while smaller ones escape their notice and also crop over a longer period. Plus they self seed better and seem more resistant to pests. Speaking of which I once bought tomato seedlings from Bunnings but they had purple leaf curl virus which recurred the next year so I had to go without for some years to fix that. Never again.

As an avid gardener near Bathurst of many years experience I've realised there are a short list of veges which are economical to grow, depending on various factors. All the rest are vanities except for their value as a luxury.

To start with, potatoes, garlic, pumpkin and silver beet are fundamental. You could live off them, and after a few years they become weeds so you never need to sow again. They don't need much fertiliser or special soil. I grow everything in raised beds with that layer of woodchip mulch and they just come up every year. No pests to speak of.

Second tier would be cos lettuce, cherry tomatoes, cucumber, rocket and carrots. These about break even if you don't include time spent cultivating them. I save seeds mainly so I can sow carrots and lettuce densely and prevent weeds. They need more fertiliser but it's worth it and the picking season is long enough for most. Cos lettuce because you can cut and come again.

Everything else is basically a waste of time. Heirloom tomatoes, beetroot, turnip, various brassicas, just not worth it. It's much easier to buy fresh and save money. I do grow broccoli but I use the greens and any heads are a bonus.

I'll go one step further and say the depiction of the Joker was my favourite. Everyone complained about Leto Joker but he was slimy, untrustworthy and totally insane and obviously deep in pain. I don't understand the hate except for bros who identify with the character and want him to be more in line with their self image

It's pathetic because it's nothing new, it's old code, they just have to run it again to try and distract the users. There's no changes, no creativity, no risk. They're just jangling keys in front of the baby to try and stop it crying

I've got a belt holster for my phone. I've heard it's very uncool but I don't care. It's so handy to be able to instantly get my OtterBox encased old Note out quickly and take a picture, look something up, check a list etc.

This one is amazing, especially when you realise various websites means, nearly any streaming platform. SoundCloud, Mixcloud, Bandcamp etc, it knows them and can download whole archives of files. As we watch Twitter and Reddit totter and crumble it's time to realise this will happen with the sites that host your favourite podcast, unless you make offline copies

Maybe not. Here's my usual one folded up along the folds it came with. You could fold it again and it would fit in a pair of jeans
