I would check out either VLC or Documents by Readdle. They both have a web interface you can launch where you can upload media through a browser with. Both have network drive capabilities and can play media well. I think VLC overall would be a simpler experience, but both are very capable for what you need.

Yeah, I don’t think Spooner is identical to Elijah Baley, but I see they connect on the technophobe aspects, if nothing else. It’s been a while since I’ve read the books, in other aspects they’re probably vastly different.
