That's awesome!
How long did it take?
For all the pedal pushers out there that love long distance cycling. There are no gear requirements and no 'minimum distances' here.
Have you ridden for a cheeky overnighter or a 3 year global trek? Doesn't matter, you're welcome here.
Have you got panniers, bikepacking bags or just a backpack with the essentials? Doesn't matter, you're welcome here.
Have you got the latest in carbon engineering or your dads old 10 speed from the 70's? Doesn't matter, you're welcome here.

How long did it take?
We left on the 3rd of June. So about 2 months doing between 35-50 miles a day.
Witamy w Polsce!
Hell of a trip.
Nice! That front bag on the green bike looks huge!
It has my coat (which is black aswell) in the elastic net thingy to the top of it which makes it look bigger than it actually is. It was still quite heavy as it had allot of our food in it, made the bike handle like a cross channel ferry that is taking on water.
I was thinking this might be some slight optical illusion, with the helmet too.
What route did you take, in a broad sense (or not so broad)?
edit: Love your setups!
Started in the north West of Scotland (trying to not doxx myself too hard) went to see a friend near Edinburgh and stayed for a few days, then to York, via a town between Birmingham and London to visit my girlfriends parents (she was riding the red bike (a Specialised Hardrock)) then through London to Kent to see my parents. Then after a stay in the most run down hostel I have ever seen we crossed at Dover to Calais and then cycled up the coast to Brugge, then to Amsterdam, then to Hamburg and finally Szczecin. We had planned to go all the way to Warsaw but we have run out of time, wanted to get the train but they are all fully booked so are taking the flixbus instead.
Writing all this out makes me think about making a better post about our entire journey
Sounds good! And yeah i would be down to read some more :)
A better post? Write a book!
Please make it, my write up on EV 13 didn't attract much attention but it may help someone who will plan their trip. I think that people here like nice pictures with bikes more than text but still I and some other people like to read too.
I suspect that a lot of the picture upvotes may actually come from all. And yeah i guess your ev13 topic did not have a pic initially, not too many people seem to read later comments that are being added later. I mean it is a pretty small community here. Still really cool that it actually has some traffic, looking at how little activity the generalist cycling c's get, you'd think this one should be completely dead.
Probably a good idea to start a new topic for a write up OP, for increased interaction. With at least a title picture ;)
When I wrote it I didn't had sorted and downsized pictures, but for my future posts I will remember to pick at least one for title.
is it a fairy across the channel?
Tee hee it is hard to swim and hold the bike up out of the water…
we I'm a dumb filthy ignorant American so I'm too stupid to know if there's some cool new underground or above ground method of transport from Britain to Spain or whatever.
I've cycled from Paris to Ashford in southeast England and you can pay a bloke with a trailer on his van to take you through the channel tunnel.
Sorry. Your good. I’m sorry i was trying to think of the funniest way across…
Didn’t mean to be a Bother
you're good man. not bothered. we'll I'm bothered by lots of things but not you.
